Remy

Remy came to me at twelve weeks from a breeder friend whose dogs I had watched at shows for years. What I noticed first was his nose: wide open nostrils on a baby puppy, which you almost never see, and they stayed that way. He is a dark brindle with a white chest, 27 pounds, compact and well boned without being overdone. His neck has length, his tail is a short straight stub and not a tight screw, and his spine films at twelve months showed no hemivertebrae in the thoracic or lumbar spine. He graded 0 on the OFA respiratory function exam, which means a clear airway both before and after the exercise test. If you want to see what that looks like outside a clinic, look at his photos. He will chase a flying disc across a field on a cool morning until I call it off, and he breathes through his nose while he does it. Remy is the household comedian and a very easy stud dog to live with. He carries fawn and one copy of pied. He also carries one copy of DM and is only bred to clear bitches. His puppies so far have inherited his nostrils, which is the point.
