Pia

Pia is a Josie daughter from her 2021 litter, by a pied male from a line I admire for its moderate heads. She is a brindle pied, mostly white with a dark patch over each eye and ear, and she has looked like a small sad clown since the day she was born, which is how she got her name. The puppy photos in the gallery are hers. She is the one who comes along everywhere: in the car, on the sidewalk, under the table at a cafe. She graded 0 on her respiratory function exam, her patellas and heart are normal, her spine films are clean, and her hearing is normal in both ears by BAER test, which I check on every pied dog. Pia carries fawn under her brindle. She is an HUU carrier and is only bred to clear males. She had four puppies by an outside stud in 2024, and her litter with Remy this October will be her second and her last.
