Blanca

Blanca was bred in Spain and came to Miami at five months. I went looking in Europe for a cream bitch with a little more muzzle, an open airway and black pigment, and she was worth the paperwork. She is a clear cream with a black nose and dark eye rims, which is how a cream should look. She is sturdy and sociable at 22 pounds, with the biggest ears in the house. She comes along to the farmers market most Sundays and lies down on the pavement the moment I stop to talk to anyone. Blanca graded 1 on her respiratory function exam. That is a pass: a mild airway noise that only a stethoscope picks up, with no clinical signs. I pair a Grade 1 only with a Grade 0. Her litter with Beau, born in August by planned C-section, is her first, and she has taken to it as if she had done it before.
